Friendly Pillars
Friendly Beaches : : Tasmania, Australia

The rocks on the east coast of Tasmania are absolutely spectacular. Well they’re spectacular all over Tasmania, but the east coast rocks on the ocean have a certain look to them. They are large granite boulders slowly eroded by the tides and waves. Often they are covered in a bright orange lichen that can be very photogenic. In this case, I chose a black and white treatment since there was none of these colourful lichens present and it seemed to add to the mood of the photo.
