Misty Lavender Tide
Friendly Beaches : : Tasmania, Australia

I’ve definitely been working and experimenting with long exposures near the ocean’s edge and the misty look that occurs as the waves come crashing in. The white balance of this photos took this mist into more of a purple colour right out of camera. I could have corrected for it, but I liked the effect.

This photograph is available for purchase as a print.

    Reblogged this on Sunnyace Collections.

This must have been very low light for 126s @ F8 + ISO 200. The effect is very good and I like the composition but it needs the large view to impress fully.

Hey Andrew, it was low light as the sun was on its way gone down and exposure was changing quickly. From what I remember, I probably also used a ND filter to extend the exposure to get the long shutter speed.
Thanks for checking it out the larger version – I’d say that often my photos have greater impact when viewed (or printed) large. :)

The adjective I would use is “dreamy” ….
