Ok, not exactly a dragon, but in the same family of lizards as the Komodo Dragon – close enough for me!

Not only does Flinders Chase National Park have Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch, it also has some great trails for hiking. During one of my hikes, I was lucky enough to see this Heath Goanna trying to warm up on this log. It wasn’t too scared of me, and allowed me to get pretty close before it decided enough was enough. Pretty cool thing to get to see on a hike if you ask me!
